Job Description

• Cloud Native Strategy: Define and execute the organization's cloud native roadmap, often involving containerization, microservices, service mesh, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  
• Team Leadership: Lead engineering teams working on cloud native platforms and applications, ensuring best practices and agile methodologies are followed.
  
• Architecture Oversight: Guide the design of scalable, resilient, and observable cloud native systems.
  
• Tooling & Platforms: Oversee implementation and usage of tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Prometheus, and CI/CD pipelines.
  
• DevOps & SRE Integration: Collaborate with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to improve deployment automation, monitoring, and incident response.
  
• Cloud Platform Mastery: Deep understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud native services they offer.
  
• Evangelism & Mentorship: Advocate for cloud native best practices internally and sometimes externally (e.g., conferences, blogs), and mentor team members on modern practices.
  

Typical Background:

• Strong experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and related technologies.
  
• Experience in cloud architecture and migration strategies.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
