Job Description

Profile: Service In-charge

Experience: 02 - 04 years PUMPS & PANELS installation, repairing, wiring etc.

Roles:

• Discuss daily service (breakdowns/ preventive maintenance) requirement for respective customers with Service Coordinator.
• Visit and examine the root cause of pumps malfunctioning/ failure and to locate damage or wear, such as blowout packing, misalignment of pump shaft, slippage of drive belt, worn bearings, or need for lubrication.
• Observes operation of pumps and feels for heat and vibration of parts to detect cause of malfunctioning.
• Perform major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, valves and related equipment.
• Dismantles pumps and performs repairs, such as cleaning impellers, repacking stuffing boxes, tightening glands, and replacing bearings, using hand tools.
• Inspects, adjusts and replaces necessary units and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work.
• Prepare Job Card/ work completion report for servicing and repairs.
• Carry out and evaluate preventive maintenance schedules for all designated mechanical equipment, either personally, or through outside vendors.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, elect panels, vfds and PLCs.
• Recommend the purchase of spares and equipment to customers and get the best cost through Service Coordinator.
• Ensure records are maintained.
• Handle team.
• Report about the work updates on daily basis.
• Maintain mechanical equipment provided by the company.
• Ensure Dress Code Compliance are adhered.
• Ensure companys policies regarding the safety is followed.
• Meet and discuss the overall progress regarding the services department with Head of Department.

Education: Degree or Dip in mechanical / electrical.
