About the team
As FIS Global's list of product offerings continues to grow so does the complexity of our client environments. With this increasing complexity comes the challenge of managing the entire eco system of the customer. Some customers have 50 or more software platforms with 100s of integration points. All of which need continual monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and support. The FIS Securities Processing Service Delivery team is one of the ways FIS is working to deliver the critical customer care and oversight required by our demanding clients and their complex operating models
What you will be doing
In this position you will be working with a team to provide the technical oversight and delivery of the full end to end Securities Processing Suite of solutions as they all come together to form our most complex client environments. With the team this position will help to:
- Coordinate changes with the client and internal FIS teams.
- Works to align the standard release cycles, & plan for impact to the wider FIS changes.
- Set target state standards for platform design, configuration, client specific usage, and interfaces between and out of the solution.
- Ensure testing is planned appropriately E2E across the solution suite.
- Provider L3 support and key input to post-mortems / retrospectives of key events.
- Become subject matter expert from one or more of the key platforms and integration points as part of the overall solutions.
What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience
- Overall, 5 to 8-year experience - experience in capital markets domain would be a plus
- Motivated strategic thinker who can ingest the broad landscape of a system with the ability to drill down and understand the detail where and when required.
- Hands on experience as a subject matter expert in Trading Surveillance products
- Strong functional knowledge in Collateral management and Securities processing
- Understands the SDLC life cycle, and experience in L3 production support operating as part of Global teams
- Familiar with the various clearing agency and related connectivity and messaging.
- Ability to understand business requirements and relate to technical implementation of the same
- Communicates ideas both verbally & in written form in a clear, concise, & professional manner
- Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
- Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally as well as externally
Skills
- Strong securities processing knowledge and end to end trade life cycle
- Strong business knowledge of Trading Surveillance products (Protegent, CAT reporting)
- Strong analytical abilities
- Good understanding of the multi-tier products with upstream and downstream applications integrated
- Hands on experience in integrated feature / functional testing
- Knowledge of C#, Java would be a plus
- knowledge of SQL, Unix, Shell scripting would be a plus
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

- Excellent communicator - ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
- Attention to detail - track record of authoring high quality documentation
- Good analytical skills
- Organized approach - manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements
- Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
Willing to travel occasionally (no more than 10%)
