Data Engineer - Snowflake / Azure/AWS/Data @ Oracle

Job Description

Overview The Data Engineer plays a critical role in our organization, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth flow of data and enhance data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Data Bricks, Informatica, and DataStage. Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data availability and integrity. Optimize and tune the performance of data infrastructure and processing systems. Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive information. Conduct troubleshooting and performance tuning of ETL processes and data pipelines. Develop and maintain documentation for data infrastructure and processes. Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools to enhance data engineering capabilities. Provide support and mentorship to junior data engineers. Adhere to best practices in data engineering and maintain high standards of quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-related initiatives and projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data warehousing. Proficiency with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Data Bricks, Informatica, and DataStage. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, or Java. Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing. Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles. Ability to work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Good understanding of data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices. Experience with cloud data platforms and services. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Relevant certifications in cloud platforms and data engineering (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, SnowPro Core Certification).
