Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Executive Preventive Maintenance (Solar Cell Plant)
Location: Jamnagar
Department: Maintenance / Engineering
Interview location: Indore
Shift: 8-hour rotating shift
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Maintenance Executive to support the preventive maintenance (PM) functions of our Solar Cell manufacturing plant. The selected candidate will be a critical part of ensuring equipment reliability, supporting our goal of becoming the worlds leading solar cell producer.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in compliance with SOPs, SWGs, OPLs, and standard checklists.
- Execute Level 1 & 2 Preventive Maintenance activities as per WI & OCAP guidelines.
- Carry out material/parts refurbishment and replenishment.
- Ensure safe, clean, and organized workspaces in alignment with 5S standards.
- Maintain high equipment productivity and low downtime through consistent maintenance efforts.
Engineering & Projects
- Participate in reliability engineering programs and TPM, PM, PDM schedules set by Equipment Engineers.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of equipment.
- Improve equipment life span and performance.
- Involve in key initiatives: tool utilization, cost reduction, production yield improvement, OEE improvement, and downtime optimization using Six Sigma, Gemba, Kaizen methodologies.
Team Support & Leadership
- Mentor and train new technicians to enhance team skillset.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and manufacturing procedures.
- Support additional tasks or projects assigned by superiors.
Experience
- 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience in solar or semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Prior exposure to fast-paced, automated MNC manufacturing environments is advantageous.
Technical Competence
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in PLCs, PC-based controls, Robotics, and systems like WET, CVD, PECVD, Furnace, or Print systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with methodologies such as BDA, SPC, Fish-Bone Analysis, TPM, PM, PDM.
Soft Skills
- Good communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration abilities.
- High fluency in spoken and written English.
- Proactive, disciplined, and safety-conscious with strong process improvement mindset.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a diverse and dynamic environment.
