Job Description

We are looking for nurses to join our esteemed clients in Germany for the role of a Staff Nurse. 

This is a 6-month training + placement program. The training will be a 6-month residential program which will cover training in A1, A2 and B1 level of German by certified German language training staff. There will be a govt. stipulated exam at the end of 6 months of training for the certification of B1 level. Only after clearing that exam can a candidate be placed in Germany with 100% guarantee. Fees will be applicable for the training only. Food, accommodation, visa processing, flight, post-arrival life support in Germany are all included in the package. You can receive Permanent Residency after 8 years of employment there. There is also a provision for family/dependent visas. 

After arriving in Germany the candidate will work as a probation employee for 6 months under the supervision of another Nurse and receive on-job-training. During this period the employee will receive half the salary until he/she is converted to a permanent employee. The employer will convert the employee to a permanent staff member after the employee completes the Staff Nurse recognition process successfully (like registration in India). The recognition process is an exam where the employee needs to present a medical case/procedure in German before a panel and go through a practical test.

The responsibilities of the staff nurse will in include, but will not be limited to, the following:

1. Patient Care: Provide direct care and support to patients, including administering medications, assisting with personal hygiene, dressing wounds, and monitoring vital signs. Staff nurses are responsible for maintaining the physical comfort and well-being of patients.
2. Care Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. This includes setting goals, coordinating treatments, and ensuring that patients receive appropriate interventions.
3. Documentation: Accurately and promptly record patient assessments, care provided, and any changes in the patient's condition in electronic health records or other documentation systems. This documentation is essential for continuity of care and communication among the healthcare team.
4. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques to promote a better understanding of their health and foster independence in managing their care after discharge.
5. Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications following prescribed dosages and guidelines. Staff nurses must be knowledgeable about different drugs, their effects, and potential side effects.
6. Monitoring: Regularly monitor patients' conditions, responses to treatments, and any potential complications. Staff nurses must be vigilant and proactive in identifying and addressing changes in patient status.
7. Support for Diagnostic Procedures: Assist with various diagnostic procedures, such as taking blood samples, performing ECGs, and preparing patients for imaging studies.
8. Infection Control: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare facility.
9. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights and ensure that their needs and preferences are communicated and respected by the healthcare team.
10. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other nursing staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
11. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as necessary.
12. Adhere to the legal framework set by the German nursing law and other relevant regulations.

Requirements:

1. B.Sc. or M.Sc. nursing, (GNM+Post Basic B.Sc. are not eligible at this time)
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital as a Registered Nurse is required.
3. Working level proficiency in German (written and spoken) is necessary (NAVIS HR will train you for this). Basic English language skills are essential.
4. Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a genuine desire to enhance the well-being of residents/patients.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents/patients and their families.
6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Physical stamina and the ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and providing care to residents/patients with limited mobility.
8. Attention to detail and the ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
9. Adherence to professional standards, ethical principles, and confidentiality requirements.
