Job Description
- Title: Lithium Ion Cell/Module Validation Engineer Job Category: Product Design & Engineering-Engineering Employment Type: Full Time The Lithium Ion Cell/Module Validation Engineer is responsible for maintaining and documenting DVP&R and PVP&R for suppliers advanced automotive battery cells/modules for hybrid and electric vehicle applications. Responsibilities include: Supporting Lead Validation Specialist to maintain validation requirement document Supporting execution teams (DREs) and direct communication with suppliers validation/testing teams Supporting pack and vehicle validation process Supporting critical design review process for lithium ion cells/modules Supporting cross functional team to capture the learnings into Stellantis best practice Being a member of cross functional team supporting battery pack manufacturing, release engineering, supplier quality engineering Position Requirements: Basic Qualifications: BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Equivalent Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in lithium-ion battery testing and validation; including cells, modules, and low/high battery packs Familiar with automotive validation requirement Good understanding of energy storage systems and vehicle electrification Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills Highly Motivated and Self Starter Demonstrated Ability to Work in a Team Environment Preferred Qualifications: MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Equivalent Demonstrated experience working directly with battery supply base Experience with PPAP and SPC process Excellent quality, manufacturing and product assurance planning skills Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Working understanding of PFMEA, DFMEA Good communication, problem solving, computer and presentation,
