Job Description: Lead Internal Auditor
Position Title: Lead Internal Auditor
Reports To: HOD- Internal Audit
Location: Andheri/Thane
Department: Internal AuditKey Responsibilities:
- Lead Audit Engagements: Plan, execute, and supervise internal audit assignments across various departments, business processes, and systems.
- Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and evaluate the organizations risk management processes.
- Internal Controls Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identify control weaknesses, and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.
- Audit Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports that summarize findings, issues, and recommendations. Communicate audit results to senior management and provide actionable insights.
- Compliance Reviews: Ensure that the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies by conducting regular compliance audits.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance and support to ensure quality audit work and professional development.
- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements in business processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies based on audit findings.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with senior management, department heads, and external auditors to discuss audit results and risk management strategies.
- Follow-Up and Monitoring: Track and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations, ensuring that corrective actions are taken.
- Special Projects: Lead or participate in special audit projects or investigations as needed, including fraud investigations or ad-hoc management requests.
