Software Engineer II, Software Test @ Yatra

• A Software Test Automation or Quality Assurance Engineer II is a young member of our software development teams. As an engineer you will test highly scalable services which enable online bookings, payment transactions and personalized messaging to millions of customers who book their travel with Yatra.com.
• This career establishing role exposes you to complex programming skills, design patterns and software testing and quality assurance (SQA) practices. Therefore, the role requires you to demonstrate ability to quickly learn a programming language and framework that you can use to test any piece of software (web, mobile or API).
• Alongwith, the role also requires very good analytical skills, eye for detail, ability to debug problems in an existing piece of code and work with other team members in a collaborative environment.
• This stage of career exposes you to independent contributor role where you are expected to work on specific problems in an independent manner with minimal assistance. You will do both manual as well as automated testing - the automation will require you to be automating testing using popular test frameworks and scripting

Profile

• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
• Executing tests and preparing test report. Executing test regression suites.
• Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability. Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team. Filing bugs in management system and working with the development team towards satisfactory removal of the bug.
• Perform manual and automated tests on software systems. Evaluate functional and non-functional behavior. Evaluate outcome and report accordingly.
• Understand expected behavior by collaborating with product owners, business owners, development owners. Translating the expected behavior into a comprehensive test suite for maximum coverage.
• Develop test automation code either independently or in collaboration with other development team members.
