Job Summary:
As an Education Counselor, your primary responsibility is to provide guidance and support to students and their parents regarding educational options and career paths. You will assist students in making informed decisions about their academic and professional futures. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of educational programs and resources.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students regarding educational and career choices, including course selection, college admissions, scholarship opportunities, and vocational programs.
Assess students' interests, abilities, and goals to help them identify suitable academic and career paths.
Advise students on academic planning, including course selection, credit requirements, and class scheduling.
Stay updated on current educational trends, college admission requirements, scholarships, and career opportunities.
Organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and presentations to educate students and parents about college admissions, financial aid, and career development.
Assist students in researching and evaluating various colleges, universities, and vocational programs to help them make informed decisions.
Provide guidance and support to students in preparing college applications, including writing personal statements and gathering required documents.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify and address the academic and emotional needs of students.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student counseling sessions and academic progress.
Act as a liaison between students and college admissions offices, scholarship committees, and other educational institutions or organizations.
Stay informed about local, state, and federal educational policies and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to students and parents.
Participate in professional development activities, such as attending conferences or workshops, to enhance counseling skills and stay updated on educational trends.
