Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Partner with HBS India Leadership (Install + Service) in the creation and execution of India business strategy. As a strategic part of the leadership team, plan and formulate long and short range business and financial objectives and goals, policies and programs.
- Closely work with RGM & India Leadership and provide strategic as well as tactical inputs for driving AOP & STRAP Financials.
- Drive rigorous and transparent financial reporting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, month closing processes and budgeting for India operations to enable and provide input for optimal business planning decisions.
- Responsible for various financial analysis duties supporting the Customer-to-Cash Cycle i.e. Bid approvals, Order funnel review, Revenue Chain, including analysis of trade receivables, AFDA track, cash receipts and related process metrics.
- Closely work with RGM & India Leadership to identify risks and opportunities & drive weekly / monthly pulse.
- Guide the Region for process improvement opportunities.
- Review & Approve Bids in terms of customer, margin, service prospect etc.
- Conduct regular Monthly Financial Review, Project / EAC Reviews, AR / Unbilled / Inventory / AP Reviews, Balance Sheet review, identify Risks & Opportunities and take action accordingly.
- Closely coordinate with revenue chain and India Leaders for resolution of customer and business process issues to meet the committed forecasts.
- Lay down & drive initiatives to drive Working Capital improvements. Drive working capital beyond controlling AR, also strong focus on Vendor management from approved bid vendors payment terms to its execution mode fulfilment.
- Drive specific initiatives around Pricing, Book & Bill requirement analysis, Contract Renewals, Service Conversion etc.
- Assist RGM in preparation of business reviews and presentations to senior Leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial policies.
- Being a part of listed entity, need to ensure that all audit queries wrt business & operations are resolved timely.
- Work on commercial terms with customers / vendors and bankers. Knowledge of BG, LC to & from customers and vendors.
- Coaching, Guiding & Mentoring the Team.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Understanding of project environment
- Self motivated, self starter, and results oriented individual.
- Proficient in SAP, Hyperion, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands on experience in the area of Financial planning & Analysis & experience in dealing with outside India office / Global Finance team
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX Compliance
- Proven leadership skills, strong business acumen and good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Comfortable with continuous changes in the work environment. Works well under pressure, with a sense of urgency, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Adept at prioritizing work and coordinating tasks simultaneously.
- Able to prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable manner.
- Strong analysis skills, with ability to apply good judgment to business planning and annual planning processes.
- Ability to initiate and lead projects/teams, drive actions, and provide recommendations for decision making.
- Ability to develop strong partnership/teambuilding relationships with operations staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong inter-personal skills, with ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Demonstrated excellent teamwork qualities in a diverse and demanding environment.
- Proactively questions current practices, ability to identify root cause and corrective actions and drive improvements.
- Ability to learn quickly and improve processes.
