Bavla Ahmedabad Posted 9 months ago We are looking for a NPD Project Manager for a Skin Care / Color Cosmetics / Personal Care / Perfume & Aerosol Manufacturing Company in Ahmedabad. Department: NPD Reporting Structure: Reports to NPD Head Role Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Educational Qualifications Required: Any graduate degree. Preferred: Project Management Skills (PMI certification) Number of Years Relevant Experience: 6 years and above Job Purpose: 1. Person will be responsible for enabling the On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery of a range of the groups brands NPD projects. The responsibility of the NPD department begins from the initial brief from the Sponsor all the way through to the first production run. 2. The role requires strong Project Management Skills, Planning, co-ordination and Execution capabilities. 3. With embedded Packaging, Product, Graphics and Artwork Development capabilities embedded in NPD team, the role involves working within and across functions. A high level of clarity, networking and influencing and effective communication is essential. NPD is business critical function and Project Managers are leaders who are self- motivated with high level of Accountability and Ownership. 4. The group has separate R&D (formulation development), QC, Molding, Purchase departments but the NPD team is the overall owner of all product development, new or existing. Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities: 1. End to end project management, from Product/Project brief all the way through until first production run for a range of the Skin Care, Color Cosmetics, Personal Care or Perfume brands. 2. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress 3. Conceptualize brief to Product realization. 4. Cost re-engineering of existing products. 5. Ensuring Global Compliance of Product across geographies. 6. Benchmarking of key competitors & International Trend Analysis. 7. Leadership : Full ownership of entire Project Deliverables 8. Managing multiple project, interdependency and complexities. 9. Strict Adherence to Processes and Protocols. 10. Briefing the internal Design functions and ensuring High quality Designs, promote Innovation and Creativity with strict adherence to timelines. 11. Liaison with Cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to R&D, QC, Procurement, Planning, Customer Service, Product Management, Manufacturing, Costing. 12. Ensuring Technical Design and Feasibility at Component and Manufacturing level. 13. To work closely with the procurement team to identify new sources of supply of product needs and sources new raw materials and passes information on new ideas to NPD Department. 14. Mock up for sharing with Customers. 15. Integrated Data Management: Maintains component, flavor / fragrance and competition libraries. Skills & Competencies Required: 1. Must have very strong project management skills 2. Highly preferred worked in Skin Care Cosmetics industry with relevant role. 3. Must have successfully managed NPD projects independently 4. Leadership, Managing Teams 5. Wholistic view of Business and interdependencies 6. Networking and Influencing 7. Working with NPD Project Management IT tools/ software 8. Passion for Excellence 9. Good Communication Skill in English (written & verbal),
