Job Description: Purchase Coordinator/Clerk Position Title: Purchase Coordinator/Clerk Location: Nasik, Maharashtra Department: Procurement Reports To: Purchase Officer / Purchase Manager Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Coordinator/Clerk to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will support the purchasing function by ensuring smooth operations, accurate documentation, timely order tracking, and clear communication between suppliers, internal departments, and project teams. You will play a crucial role in the successful procurement of materials and supplies for ongoing projects at Deepak Builders & Developers. Key Responsibilities: Order Processing: Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) for required materials and supplies, ensuring accurate quantities, specifications, and timelines. Supplier Coordination: Maintain clear communication with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and follow up on delayed or pending orders. Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier invoices, delivery notes, and other procurement documentation. Inventory Tracking: Monitor stock levels in collaboration with the inventory team and ensure timely reordering of materials to prevent project delays. Vendor Management: Help maintain a comprehensive vendor database, updating contact details, pricing, and performance reviews as necessary. Communication & Liaison: Act as a bridge between the procurement department, suppliers, site engineers, and the finance department, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on order statuses and any changes in the procurement process. Cost Control: Assist in comparing vendor prices and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality. Compliance & Quality: Ensure all purchased materials meet the quality standards and specifications required by the engineering team. Coordinate quality checks on received goods. Reporting: Assist in preparing procurement reports, order status updates, and cost summaries for management reviews. Required Skills & Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Diploma or bachelors degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the real estate or construction industry. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal teams. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with procurement software. Ability to use ERP systems or procurement management tools will be an added advantage. Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with an ability to maintain accurate records and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure timely order processing and delivery tracking to meet project deadlines. Problem Solving: Capable of handling procurement issues such as delays, discrepancies, and supplier coordination with minimal supervision. Preferred Attributes: Knowledge of real estate or construction materials. Strong negotiation skills to handle vendor relationships. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.
