Job Description

Position Overview: This position is responsible for providing full estimating and proposal preparation for all types of municipal tenders, including water and wastewater treatment plants, and pumping stations. Estimates will cover all type of contracts that includes instrumentation, control panels and services.

Qualifications/ Skills: BE Instrumentation & Control / Electrical / Electrical and Communication

• Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and cost control techniques
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and decision-making skills
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work on estimates for multiple projects at one time
• Must be able to manage occasional heavy workloads

Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in cost estimating and cost control in Instrumentation and Electrical field

Job Responsibilities:

Review tender documents including general conditions, the ability to read and interpret P&IDs, Electrical and Instrumentation drawings, as well as all other technical data necessary to provide a complete proposal for the customer

• Understand all levels of estimate Pre-Bid, Design Built, RFT
• Prepare full-scope estimates on small, medium, and large-scale projects, in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare in-detail Bill of material for instrumentation as well as control panels
• Ensure all documentation is maintained to support estimate figures during project handovers
• Communication and coordination with various supplier to receive the quotes at timely manner 
• Evaluate different proposals and quotes to secure best possible material at minimum cost
• Maintain standard cost estimating tools, templates, and vendor lists by trade

Communicate with engineers and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials, or any additional queries before the deadlines
