Job Description
Position Title: Chief Manager/AVP IT-Digital engineering
Grade/Level: M4/M5
Department: IT
Location: Chennai
Position reporting to: Head Infrastructure & Cloud
JD: The Chief Manager/AVP IT Applications will be responsible for developing and implementing applications to support business objectives, including a comprehensive superapp solution that integrates various services and features into a single platform. This role involves a combination of technical, managerial, and strategic responsibilities, few of which is mentioned below.
Key Responsibilities: Developing and executing the overall strategy for IT applications, including superapp, including defining the product roadmap, feature prioritization, and delivery timelines.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and integration of the applications including superapp with the company's overall business objectives.
Developing and overseeing the technical architecture of applications including superapp, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and performant.
Enhancing the operational efficiencies, devising innovative solutions and leveraging the IT platform to create business differentiators.
Establishing and enforcing best practices for software development, quality assurance, and project management to ensure successful and timely delivery of the IT applications.
Managing vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and service-level agreements with third-party providers.
Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the technology space, and identifying opportunities to enhance and innovate the platforms.
Strategizing & driving the projects covering areas of automation/process improvements, performance improvement, capacity upgrades, and technology refresh.
Implement mechanisms to monitor and manage progress, milestones, and risks associated with the superapp development and implementation.
Ensure timely resolution of Incident & Tasks and ensure that incidents are assigned, updated, and resolved with a high level of quality
Leading and managing a team of developers, designers, and product managers responsible for building and maintaining the superapp platform
Qualifications:B. Tech. in Computer Science / Post Graduate in Computers
Experience:15+ Years ( Preferably from Banking / NBFCs in Strategic IT Projects )
Functional Competencies:Experience in building large-scale, high-traffic, and secure web and mobile applications.
Strong understanding of architecture and design principles, such as microservices, APIs, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
