Roles and Responsibilities
Fleet Operations Manager - Lithium Urban Technologies
As a Fleet Operations Manager at Lithium Urban Technologies, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the management and operations of our electric vehicle (EV) fleet. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth functioning of the fleet, achieving revenue targets, leading a team, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Your role will be dynamic, requiring effective coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Oversee the operations of a fleet of approximately 2100 cars, ensuring their optimal utilization, maintenance, and timely servicing. Coordinate with the garage team to ensure the fleet is in excellent condition.
- Revenue Generation: Implement and execute strategies to achieve revenue goals, including leasing and revenue-sharing models for the cars. Qualify cars for revenue generation and monitor performance to maximize profitability.
- Fleet Expansion: Work towards the target of increasing the fleet to 2500+ cars within the next 2 to 3 months. Collaborate with the recruitment team to onboard new pilots and staff members efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 55 members, including staffs, pilots, and sloggers. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure their productivity, performance, and job satisfaction.
- Retention and Performance: Develop strategies for retaining pilots and ensuring their satisfaction. Monitor and evaluate their performance, conducting timely performance reviews and providing necessary feedback and training.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare weekly reports on fleet performance, revenue generation, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
- Training Programs: Coordinate training programs for staffs and pilots, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and safely.
- Recruitment: Collaborate with the recruitment team to identify and onboard suitable staffs and pilots. Conduct interviews, assess candidates' qualifications, and make informed hiring decisions.
- Grievance Handling: Address pilots' grievances promptly and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve conflicts. Maintain accurate records and documentation, including pilots' HISAAB (financial settlements).
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, operations, logistics, etc.)
- Proven experience in fleet management or operations, preferably in the transportation or automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pilots, staff members, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in using fleet management software, Excel, and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of EVs and sustainable transportation is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
