Job Description

    Position Overview

    • Job Title: Key Account Manager
    • Department: Axis Bank Branch Banking
    • Level: Executive
    • Role Summary: Support Life Insurance sales by engaging with bank customers across assigned bank branches and locations, working towards achieving business objectives.

    Organizational Relationships

    • Reports To: Cluster Manager
    • Supervises: None
    • Geographic Area: Assigned Branches/Cluster
    • Internal Stakeholders: Training, Branch Operations, Distribution Operations
    • External Stakeholders: Channel Partners

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales and Business Development

    • Drive Life Insurance sales growth within allocated branches, ensuring a well-balanced product mix.
    • Achieve preset targets for ANP (Annual New Premium), case count, active branches, and KPIs.
    • Collaborate with the Branch Manager and bank staff to develop and execute business plans.
    • Motivate and support branch staff, ensure proper documentation, and assist with application submissions.
    • Build and implement both short- and long-term strategies to meet sales targets.
    • Conduct joint sales calls with the banks sales team to achieve collective business objectives.

    Relationship Management

    • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive business.
    • Support channel partners and ensure smooth execution of marketing activities.
    • Ensure timely policy issuance and resolve any pending issues.
    • Maintain post-sales engagement with customers, ensuring a high persistency ratio.
    • Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to execute business strategies effectively.

    Compliance and Reporting

    • Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance standards.
    • Follow policies and procedures to maintain compliance and a culture of best practices.
    • Provide timely reports and follow the TALIC code of conduct.

    Skills Required

    Technical Skills

    • In-depth knowledge of Life Insurance products and services.
    • Strong understanding of the finance/insurance industry.
    • Effective business planning, problem-solving, and self-management skills.

    Behavioral Skills

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and lead efforts to meet sales goals.
    • Skilled in decision-making, creative thinking, and relationship building.

    Candidate Profile

    • Education: Graduate (Postgraduate preferred)
    • Experience: 1-3 years in sales, preferably in insurance/financial services.
    • Age: Below 30 years
    • Location: Bargur
