Job Description
- Key Responsibilities: Sample Testing and Analysis: Conduct chemical and physical tests on materials, products, or environmental samples. Use laboratory equipment like spectrometers, chromatographs, and titration systems. Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine the chemical composition of substances. Data Collection and Documentation: Record and interpret test results accurately. Maintain detailed reports and documentation of findings for further analysis. Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards. Product Development and Research: Participate in research projects to develop new products or improve existing ones. Formulate compounds, solutions, and mixtures for testing purposes. Assist in the creation of prototypes for product development. Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality and safety standards by testing them at different production stages. Work closely with production teams to solve issues related to product quality. Compliance with Safety Standards: Ensure laboratory practices comply with industry and environmental regulations. Handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely and maintain clean lab conditions. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments. Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability. Keep a log of equipment maintenance and repair records. Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and techniques, familiarity with safety protocols, and strong analytical skills. Attention to Detail: High level of precision and accuracy in performing experiments and recording data. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues during tests and develop solutions. Communication: Good verbal and written communication to collaborate with colleagues and report findings. Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Work Environment: Typically works in laboratories within industries like pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing, food processing, or environmental science. May work with hazardous materials, requiring the use of safety equipment like goggles, gloves, and lab coats.
