- Overview The SSD Validation Engineer plays a crucial role in the development and reliability of Solid State Drives (SSD) in our organization. This role is vital as it ensures that our SSD products meet the highest standards of performance, endurance, and overall quality before they reach the market. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing validation tests, analyzing test results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements. With the growing demand for high-speed storage solutions, the SSD Validation Engineer contributes significantly to the innovation and competitiveness of our product line. This position not only requires technical acumen but also a strong commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction through quality products. The collaboration between engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders is essential for addressing any concerns and enhancing product functionalities. The SSD Validation Engineer will help pave the way for future advancements in storage technology, making this role a cornerstone of our strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design and develop SSD validation plans based on product specifications. Conduct thorough performance and endurance tests on SSD products. Analyze test results to identify issues and suggest improvements. Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to resolve validation issues. Document test procedures, results, and findings systematically. Perform stress testing and reliability testing to ensure product robustness. Work with developers to define and refine SSD specifications. Create automated test scripts to streamline the validation process. Review and prioritize validation tasks based on project timelines. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Provide feedback on product designs to improve reliability and performance. Participate in design reviews and provide input from a validation perspective. Develop and maintain validation testing frameworks and toolsets. Support the production team to address validation-related issues post-launch. Stay updated on the latest SSD technologies and industry trends. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 4-6 years of experience in SSD validation or related roles. Strong understanding of SSD architecture and technologies. Experience with various SSD testing methodologies and tools. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++. Familiarity with hardware and software interface protocols (SATA, NVMe, etc.). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with automated testing frameworks is a plus. Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis. Experience in reliability testing and statistical analysis. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Proficient in using test equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Knowledge of quality assurance practices and methodologies. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
