Job Description
- Responsible for finalizing the inprocess / final inspection plan according to Regulator general specification / other procedures provided by Emerson engineering team
- Having Joint responsibility for inprocess & final inspection of regulators & skids business. Should handle the team to get things done.
- Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditations
- Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business
- Responsible for conducting internal audits and implementing corrective actions
- Coordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives
- Plan Standard Operating practices required under the overriding Quality procedures
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system
- Responsible for handling customer complaints for PRM Chennai. It involves both regulator & skid business.
- Responsible for creating warranty requests and analyzing warranty requests based on reported incidents.
- Team member to liaise and obtain various product approvals like IBR, PESO, PED, EIL certifications - on requirement basis
- Responsible for taking corrective actions for inhouse & final rejections.
- Responsible for capturing and reducing inprocess / final PPM in shop floor (Skid & regulator business together).
- Responsible for carrying process audit & product audit as per the yearly plan
- Responsible for implementing PFD,PFEMA,Control plan for products as per the annual plan, responsible for creating tester catalogue, test rig suitability, SPC study for inhouse test rigs (Test stand qualification)
- Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis
- Responsible for implementing process improvements at least 12 / year
- Responsible for implementing companywide ESH initiatives
- Responsible for implementing companywide sustainability initiatives
- Responsible for conducting JSA, HIRA for all manufacturing, non-routine activities
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes
- Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment
- Investigate industrial incidents and injuries to determine their causes and to determine whether the incidents were avoidable or can be prevented in the future
Basic Skill set as below
- Strong knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 (OSHAS) standard requirements
- Knowledge on PPAP, PFEMA, etc.,
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Hands on experience in creating JSA, Risk assessment
- Basic knowledge on GD & T, understanding the concepts of position tolerance.
- Familiar in drawing study & understanding
- Able to handle basic linear instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Height gauges, Bore dial gauges, 2D Height master, Surface finish instruments etc.
- Knowledge on CMM inspection / Contour tracer & handling of CMM / contour tracer.
- Skills on problem solving techniques
- Accident investigation experience
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Shall manage with confidence, maintain policy/protocol with crew, and operate with authority when needed
- Good Analytical skills
Education : BE (Mechanical Engg Preferred)
Experience : At least 8 - 10 years of overall career experience and 5+ years of relevant experience
