Role Brief
We are seeking an embedded system technical Architect with design experience
working with hardware and firmware to support our new Internet of Things (IoT) Smart
Home Products/ Solutions.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Product Development team to better understand their IoT
needs
Responsible for all aspects of design, development, implementation, testing and
validation of software for embedded system.
Provide technical expertise for firmware & hardware development
Responsible for developing an IoT platform and its complex software
architectures.
Resolve technical & design conflicts/issues; provide technical leadership to
implementation team
Keep pace with the latest IOT technology and Industry Trends
Provide technical leadership for the development and integration of new IoT
solutions.
Be the subject matter expert in communication IoT Protocol such as:
o MQTT, REST APIs, DDS, AMQP.
o Wireless Edge Access Protocols: Wifi, Cellular, Bluetooth, RFID.
Qualifications:
Experience connecting devices and hardware with cloud infrastructure and cloud
IoT platforms.
At least 5 years of practical work experience in an IT, engineering, or a related
technical field.
3 years experience developing custom embedded solutions
Expertise in any one of the embedded databases like sqlite, rocksdb
Digital design experience, including micro controllers, serial communication
modules, and power management circuit
Experience developing firmware using C, C++, assembly language or other lowlevel
programming tools
Experience working in embedded Linux environments
Subject matter expertise in IoT protocols such as REST APIs, MQTT, DSS, and
AMQP is required.
Subject matter expertise in Wireless Edge Access Protocols (WAN, LAN, PAN,
Mesh) such as LoRA, Wifi, RFID, Bluetooth, Zwave or others is required.
