Job Description
Rol
DB2 admin:
- Candidate having 2 to 4 years of experience in DB2 Administration
- Have good Written and Oral communication skills
- Experience supporting applications within a DB2 data sharing environment
- Works with customer database personnel to understand their current database platform and future needs
- Experience with cross-platform data movement and integration.
- Application database backups, monitoring, recovery, utilities, and security.
- Perform database recovery and backup tasks on daily and weekly basis.
- Provide performance, capacity, and utilization reporting
- Troubleshoot Database service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
- Ensure all databases are backed up in a way that meets the businesss Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
- Manage database logins and permissions for users.
- Strong knowledge on DML and DDL operations
- Should be able to handle release builds.
- Monitor databases regularly to check for any errors such as existing locks
- Knowledge on LDAP issues.
- Install, maintain, and support IBM Db2 LUW monitoring software including IBM Data Server Manager (DSM).
Key asks:
- Tools: TOAD,DBeaver,Sql developer,putty,thycotic,winscp,DSM,OEM
- Awareness of lower env UAT and PROD UAT
- AWS knowledge is an added advantage.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment.
- Coordination with application teams is must and should for any deployments or any outage.
- Scripting knowledge.
- Backups and restore is must and should
- Should have excellent mail and Oral communication skills.es and Responsibilities
