R & D Software Test Engineer - Chennai @ Valeo

The Software Test Engineer ensures the elicitation of the test bench requirements, the test coverage of
the Software requirements and quality of test cases along with the Software Test Plan.
He/she specifies the Software test.
He/she reports to the Software Test Lead.

Responsibilities

Ensures the executability of the Software test along with the project plan.
Supports the definition of the Software Test plan
Supports the distribution of the Software Test Environment.
Participates in analysis of Software requirement specification addressed to the Software test team
Specifies the Software test cases.
Aligns the software test specification with the Function Manager.
Approves the execution of the Software Test cases.
Prepares the Software Test Report.
Supports the closing of the Software test activities.
Performs and participates in peer document (e.g. test plan, test specifications) reviews.
In case of deviations, escalates to the Software Test Lead and provides adequate information and
proposals for decision-making.

Professional Experience

Min 2 years SW test validation experience.
Good programming skills in C, Python, NI LabVIEW & NI TestStand.
Knowledge of software acceptance testing and accelerated life testing.
Previous knowledge in building Test Automation solutions.
Ability to be able to react/respond quickly to issues and be able to think on your feet
Mindset of continuous improvement
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Education/Training

Graduate/Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical or Software Engineering
