Essential Criteria
- 5 + years' experience in an IT Systems Engineer / Administration role.
- Experience with Cisco HCI or similar hyperconverged architectures.
- Hands on experience of supporting and troubleshooting VMWare.
- Experience in configuring Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience in migrating workloads to a cloud platform (Azure or Google).
- Expertise with server operating system from Windows 2008 to Windows 2016.
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Federation Services, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with backup tooling: Veeam, Cohesity, Hycu
- Experience with DR Replication tooling: Veeam, SRM,
- Understanding of information security principles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate solutions clearly and concisely.
- Ability to ensure customer privacy regulations are understood and implemented.
Highly Regarded /Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge and/or experience in platform areas;
- Experience with SAN Storage- e.g. NetApp.
- Net and PowerShell skills and other orchestration, automation or scripting languages/tools. Terraform skills highly regarded.
- Enterprise experience with design, implementation and operation of Microsoft platform technologies.
- Experience with Azure AD, Azure AD Domain Services, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD B2C/B2B, MFA.
- Working knowledge of SCCM, SCOM, WSUS, SQL databases desirable
- Certificates: SSL, Root CA, Trust Chains
- Networking, TCP/IP, server security, server load balancing
- Experience in configuring Logic Monitor
Desirable certifications
Cisco Blackbelt HCI, VCP, MCP, MCSE, GCP Cloud OR, Microsoft Azure Certs one or more of: AZ104,200, 204,303), SRM, Veeam, Cohesity).
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Working as part of the delivery team and responsible for:
- working with the Project Managers, Architects and Customers to build and configure platform services as per the Low-Level Designs.
- testing and configuring platform equipment prior to implementation
- perform deployment cutovers of cloud platforms and migration of workloads (after hours)
- maintaining high customer satisfaction
- knowledge sharing within the team
- Willingness and ability to assist with marketing requests on an ad hoc basis (e.g. blogs and LinkedIn posts)
Supporting the managed services team for P1 escalations and responsible for:
- incident diagnosis & resolution, service request fulfillment, root cause analysis and change execution
- providing inputs for the creation of SOPs and process improvements
- providing after-hours IT support for P1 escalations where Level 2 and 3 are unable to resolve to meet agreed SLAs.
