Job Title: Senior Manager Technical Accounting
Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore
CTC: 20 Lakhs to 30 Lakhs (Negotiable Based on Current CTC)
Summary: This position is responsible for all aspects of engagement management including client management, ensuring that the engagements are sufficiently planned, executed, concluded and meet client expectations.
Technical proficiency includes demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, primarily GAAP, SEC and IFRS, in multiple industries where the individual can be considered a subject matter expert.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Core Competency is the demonstrated ability to carry out the primary responsibilities of the job, which is reflected in the essential duties section of the job description.
Perform technical accounting and financial advisory work for clients, including IPO readiness and solutions to complex accounting issues
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of technical accounting literature within the GAAP and SEC hierarchies and is able to research issues and provide client management with coherent information on non-routine, complex issues
Demonstrate an advanced ability to research and apply technical competencies necessary to determine solutions to complex issues
Complete engagements with technical proficiency and reviewed by QRM with little correction
Prepares client ready deliverables that require few content changes by the responsible Partners
Develop technical proficiency in specified industries
Monitor overall engagement progress against client and Partner expectations
Regular involvement in billing responsibilities and related issues
Demonstrate the ability to adequately plan multiple concurrent client engagements including scheduling, deploying of resources and exhibit effective project management
Demonstrate an advanced ability to plan, perform, and deliver work independently with limited supervision on large complex engagements.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
CPA license required CA
Skills:
10+ years of experience in external audit and/or an internal finance/accounting role with a minimum of 4 years of experience as the CFO or in the CFOs office
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills
Proficient at Microsoft Office product suite
Proficient Technical research skills
Experience supervising up to 15 or more individuals
Strong project management, independent thinking, and decision-making skills
Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
Prior public company audit experience
Prior IPO and SEC reporting experience
