Title - Program Manager/ Sr. Program Manager - Product / Curriculum Development Physical Literacy
Location - Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
Organization Overview:
Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL)/Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF) is a leadership development organization which works with education leaders to improve student learning outcomes at scale. We work on catalysing public system change by developing a cadre of competent and passionate leaders who have the foresight and courage to sustainably impact the nations grassroots at scale. In pursuance of this objective, we currently work in 13 states on building the leadership skills of government education officials at school, block, district and state level.
We strongly believe in the capability of the government systems in India to be the drivers of large-scale change in the domain of education, and over the years, we have worked with governments across multiple states to demonstrate the impact of our efforts on Student Learning Outcomes. With many central and state government bodies shifting focus onto working on systemic change in education, PFEL/KEF is grateful to have been recognised as a value-adding partner in driving transformation initiatives in education at the State and District levels.
Key roles & responsibilities
- Assess, design and co build (along with external stakeholders) curriculum to standards national/ international level
- Collect and report data to measure the programmes performance against the organisations KPIs.
- Analyse student assessment/test data
- Research trends in instructional methods and pedagogy
- Review and recommend other educational materials and alternative teaching learning aids
- Observe work of teaching staff to evaluate performance
- Develop procedures for teachers to implement curriculum
- Train stakeholders teachers, administrators etc and other instructional staff in new content or technology
- Mentor or coach teachers in skill improvement
- Plan, organize and conduct training conferences and workshops
- Develop and institutionalize a safe environment (physically & emotionally) for both the children and staff and stakeholders
- Lead and deliver courses to community / Parents as extended stakeholders on select windows
- Continually research best practice in physical literacy and education and make recommendations to management on the continual improvement of the product/programs
Product development stages and its understanding
- Design innovative 21st Century skills-based frameworks to support future ready children
- Develop curriculums and other need-based intervention products.
- Conceptualise products that needs to be delivered to support the operations team.
- Develop assessment tools and associated products as part of the assessment package.
Collaboration for product development - internal and external stakeholders/ organisations National/ International
- Collaborate with other CoE teams, Operations, support functions, etc. for need identification, co creation of products, implementation, facilitation support etc.
- Facilitate discussions and meetings with operations team on understanding need and executing products in field.
- Contribute to developing quarterly reports for donors
- Develop reports for CEO and senior management
Reporting and support within the organization
- Support CTM/PD and PMs in projects incubation, prototyping, designing and piloting
- Support in facilitating capacity development sessions, orientations etc
- Create processes to ensure PLs growth by goal setting and calibrating expectations.
Knowledge, Skills and competencies
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of physical literacy - as Sport for development/ life.
- Demonstrates understanding of physical, cognitive and emotional child development
- National and international eco system in new curriculum and pedagogy and the various dimensions that Physical literacy/ Physical Education is being moulded within K12 education
- Should have a studied view and understanding on - Long Term Athlete Development model/ programs in a limited context

- Experience in upskilling and reskilling stakeholders - planning and delivering outcome-focused sessions aimed at improving all participants
- Experience in working independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and motivation skills experience of delivering the national curriculum and / or physical literacy-based sessions
Education and experience:
- 10/12 years in Physical education/Sports
- Bachelors in Physical Education/ Maters in Physical Education with private universities
- Prior experiences in developing curriculum, instructional design, pedagogy
- Complementary experiences around areas of K 12 school environments within - co scholastic Education
- Academic/ scholastic curriculum developments may also apply, however with deep knowledge in areas as listed above
