Job Description

1. JOB OVERVIEW

1.1. Designation: Senior Program Leader/Program Leader

1.2. Business line: Support

1.3. Function: Donor Management

1.4. Duty Post: Delhi

1.5. CTC: 3 to 6 LPA

2. JOB BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE (Information is used to support the advertisement)

Your major purpose will be to develop high quality grant applications, proposals, complete due diligence processes, network with potential donors and grow existing donor portfolio and relationship. This will also include engaging with internal stakeholders from program and finance teams to ensure hygiene of existing partnerships including project performance tracking. The role will provide the candidate an opportunity to develop people skills, network with more than 100 development sector professionals and hone his/her writing skills under the senior leadership of the organization. Knowledge of MS Office, proficiency in English/Hindi, excellent writing skills is a must for this role.

3.1

Execute Fundraising Activities

 

a

Develop well-articulated business documents/presentations Concept note, budgets, proposals, etc.

b

Actively identify and pursue business development opportunities in line with organizational vision

c

Effectively communicate organizations change initiatives to potential funders by facilitating program visits on field, organizing recurring interactions etc.

d

Align internal stakeholders towards establishing a partnership

 

e

Onboard senior leadership to develop winning proposals that align with donor needs

 

3.2

Manage existing donor accounts

 

a

Deliver quality and timely reports financial and programmatic by collaborating with Finance and Operations teams

b

Conduct field/programmatic visits to track project progress

c

Actively solve day-to-day queries/problems of the donors

d

Establish and implement a governance system to map/track financial and programmatic progress

 

d

Manage stressful situations coming down from active funders and internal stakeholders

 

e

Enhance scope of partnership with active funders by communicating the evolving organizational vision which aligns with the donors strategic interests

 

f

Pre-emptively preparing an action plan to address the donors evolving needs.

 

g

Review, strategize and execute customized strategy to exceed donor expectations year-on-year.

4.1 Build grant proposals and create SOPs for proposal writing

4.2 Execute business development and outreach activities

4.3 Delivery of quality and timely reports programmatic and financial

4.4 Management of field visits according to the donor objectives

4.5 Development of high-quality business material for maintenance, enhancement and acquisition of donor partners

4.6 Swift and efficient response to all the queries of the donor partners

4.7 Alignment of internal stakeholders with evolving need of the donors

The work environment is flexible but highly intensive and demanding. It requires a lot of internal problem-solving engagement with multiple stakeholders internal and external - across all levels. Sometimes the turn-around time is also very less. We are looking for someone who enjoys and thrives in high-paced circumstances. You will be rewarded at the end of the day by the value you bring to the working of the whole organization, working at the intersection of the central, programmatic and financial functions.

6. PERSON SPECIFICATION

6.1. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE (example as below)

a. Graduation in any stream is a must.

b. Minimum experience (1-4 years for graduates), 0-3 years for post-graduates.

c. Experience working in dynamic work environments with substantive dose of ambiguity

6.2. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE (example as below)

6.2.1. mandatory

a. Excellent proposal writing and documentation skills

b. Excellent oral and written communication (Proficiency in Hindi/English is a must)

c. Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) knowledge and demonstrated experience

d. Deep observational and listening

e. Critical thinking and problem-solving

f. Collaboration with multiple internal/external stakeholders (individual and teams)

g. Ability to work with C-level executives to engage them in the fundraising process

h. Ability to work in high-ambiguity environment

6.2.2. preferred

d. Ability to strike balance and move forward to achieve the desired outcome

e. Content writing and/or business development experience will be a plus
