Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Carry out the assessment on a project/product to determine whether it meets the specified safety requirements and to form a judgement on the fact that it is fit for its intended purpose
  • Ensure application of reference processes and contribute to continuous improvements of process and methods
  • Assessment scope concerns projects/programs developed in France and also other ADM programs worldwide

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Definition deployment of assessment activities:
  • Plan and follow-up safety assessment activities for the assigned projects
  • Deploy safety assessment applying reference SA process and tools in consistency with applicable standards and regulations
  • When several assessors intervene on the assigned project/product, and when acting as lead assessor, coordinate the activities of assessment
  • Deliver safety assessment report for the defined key milestones
  • Present the assessment results to the Project/Product team, and if necessary to the management or to external entity as customer/railway safety authority
  • SA Process management:
  • Support Safety Assessment Director in capturing assessment request of related Site
  • Apply reference SA process and tools, and contribute to its improvement using REX process.
  • Estimate and Measure workload of assigned projects


Others:

  • Support safety reviews when external ISA is already appointed (L1 assessment)
  • Develop safety expertise and provide contribution to other assessors
  • Contribute to successful achievement of internal/external audits process compliance

Performance measurements:

  • Respect of QCD commitment along DFQ cycle

SKILLS EDUCATION:

Educational Requirements:

Master Degree in Engineering or similar technical fields

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in railway safety domain or 5 years in railway domain (including 2 years in railway safety domain)
  • Recognized technical experience in SAFETY, equivalent to "WCE Senior Expert"
  • Knowledge of Alstom Ethics Compliance policy
  • Knowledge of Alstom EHS policy and AZD rules
  • Experience in Audit

  • Technical skills in railway safety process and related methods and tools
