Sr Principal Engineer II , SW @ HARMAN

In this role, you will develop Cloud/Edge based connectivity/security solutions for the automotive domain. Our team s use cases include, but are not limited to, threat detection, content classification, anomaly detection, and advanced network connectivity and diagnosis. The role will provide you the opportunity and challenges to work with advanced edge/cloud and network technologies and tools to solve real-world problems of the connected vehicles. Your Team

There will be a team of cloud developers devops engineers reporting to you. What You Will Do

• Design and develop edge/cloud-based network security and connectivity solutions involving IDPS, content inspection, and authentication/authorization systems for Zero Trust Network Access

• Integrate/interface with open source/3rd party partner components to build end-to-end solutions

• Work closely with embedded and ML teams to provide requirements and ensure smooth integration into the end-to-end solution

• Actively participate as SME in Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment of network architecture involving 4G/5G cellular networks

• Lead performance measurements and tuning efforts for end-to-end optimization and scalability

• Lead interactions with internal and external partner technical teams regarding requirements, design, customization, and troubleshooting of their components

What You Need

• Master s degree in computer science or equivalent

• 8 - 12 years of relevant experience developing Cloud-Native applications involving IoT use cases

• Broad knowledge and experience working with various public cloud services such as AWS, Azure

• Knowledge of and 3GPP, 4G/5G Cellular Networks and ETSI MEC/Edge Architectures

• Experience working with Linux network interfaces/configuration and using debugging tools such as packet sniffers, and protocol analyzers

• Strong coding ability in the major programming languages such as C++ and/or Java

• Knowledge of various data interchange mechanisms like JSON, protocol buffers, and using REST APIs

• Experience/good knowledge of security technologies such as PKI, TLS, HTTPS, VPNs

• Strong ability to understand/analyze open source and 3rd party software offerings of partners and integrate/interface with them with minimum support

What is Nice to Have

• Prior experience working with Firewalls, IDPS, Deep Packet Inspection, Gateways, XDR/SIEM systems

• Experience in cybersecurity including threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management or identity and access management systems

• Experience working with Automotive products/services
