Sr . Engineer II , SW - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ HARMAN

Position Summary:

Senior software engineer, who is responsible for the leading the product development with quality and by following the engineering practices. The candidate should be a team player who should be able to code, do peer code review, and fix defects wherever needed on the project. Contribute to the architecture and design of the system while staying aligned with the overall architecture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Uses Agile Scrum Methodology for software development.

• Develop and write clear and quality code compliant to a product specification

• Develops unit tests for all new code

• Adequately comments all code

• Has all code changes peer reviewed, and must peer review code when required

• Provides input for documentation of new or existing programs

• Ability to refine requirements and solve problems

• Developing and improving solutions(including bug fixes) to a problem

• Performs technical research, monitors current trends and changes in technology

• Interfaces with all departments within company

• Demonstrates industry knowledge to assist in new product development

• Performs related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Technology

• Must have at least 5 years of development experience using Angular, Javascript and HTML5/CSS, technologies

• Good understanding of WebGL.

• Good understanding of 2D rendering within HTML5 canvas

• Good understanding of Websockets

• Experience with building highly scalable APIs supporting large high-volume environments

• Experience with using REST frameworks

• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs through server-side applications

• Minimum 2+ years experience working with Microsoft Azure

• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB

• Experience building and maintaining automated unit tests

• Demonstrates technical leadership skills

• An ability to understand and write scripts in Powershell or other scripting language

• Experience developing big data applications is nice to have but not mandatory

• Track record of strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills

• Experience in performance optimization of high-volume, distributed web services

• Should be able to think out of the box and contribute towards future projects

Eligibility Requirements:

• Willingness to travel 5% of the time.

• Willingness to work in an office in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
