We are Hiring for Function Head Human Resources- Veraval

 

 

Job Purpose

Prepare effective HRM strategies to ensure that Human Resources of the Company provides optimum contribution and value additions for creation of a high performance culture to attain Company s Business Objectives. Ensures effective execution, review and redesigning of these strategies. Maintain cordial employee relations and effective liaison with surrounding community and different Government agencies.

Key Result Areas

  1. Responsible for institutionalization of HR systems and their effective implementation to ensure optimum contribution and value additions from all the employees toward company goals / objectives. Implementation of CHR policies and ensuring zero deviations.
    • Periodic review of all the systems & policies in consultation with Functional Heads and redefining of systems and policies so as to ensure effectiveness of systems & policies in meeting employees needs. Networking with Group & other companies to find out best practices and fine tuning of these practices in the context of company. Incorporation of same in companys system s & policies.
  2. Ensuring adequate number of manpower with required skills & competencies.
    • Periodic review of Organization structure in the context of changes in Business strategies and man-power budgeting. Continuous monitoring of Attrition of employees by way of exit interviews to understand causes of leaving. Corrective actions to reduce attrition. Mapping Skills & Competencies to understand skills and competency gaps. Sourcing by way of networking with CHR, HR Heads of Group Units, Placement Agencies, Professional institutions and other agencies.
  3. Ensuring continuity of the Organization by way of Performance Management, Talent Management & Succession Planning.
    • Ensure Performance Management skills. Design and execute strategies for Talent Identification & Talent Development. Ensure successors for all critical positions based on above.
  4. Creation of a performance culture with Harmonious relations at all levels.
    • Periodic review of Grievance Handling mechanisms and ensure effective implementation of Grievance Handling mechanisms. Ensures adequate flow of required communication in all directions. Institutionalize rewards & recognition mechanisms. Ensures periodic surveys for collecting feedback and making necessary corrections in Employee Relation strategies in consultation with Unit Head and Business HR Head. Ensures effective execution of Discipline Management Systems. Ensures unhindered access to Policy Manual & its fair implementation. To create a culture of internal customerization amongst different Departments and Functions.
  5. Maintain cordial relations with different local Government agencies.
    • Periodic formal / informal meetings with different Government officers. Ensure execution of all statutory compliances.
  6. Contract Labor Administration.
    • To ensure legal sanctity of contract labor deployment. To ensure all statutory compliances. Review contract labor deployment from time to time for feedback to Unit Head.
  7. To maintain harmonious relationship with Trade Unions and Statutory and Regulatory Authorities so as to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations of the plant.
    • Interacts regularly with the Trade Unions. Interacts continuously with the Department Heads. Uses informal intelligence network to gather information in advance regarding possible labor issues. Takes measures proactively to counteract the above identified issues. Liaises closely with the statutory and regulatory authorities and keeps them informed of the management views and conveys their views to the Unit Head.
  8. To plan and achieve amicable settlement of disputes / demands etc. for ensuring smooth and cost-effective plant operations.
    • Analyzes the problem and discusses with the shop floor managers. Negotiates with the unions. Closely interacts with labor authorities for effective implementation of agreements.
  9. To negotiate periodic wage settlements and ensure implementation and responsible for enforcing discipline.
    • Understand the management s objectives and position on each of the demands. Liaise with the unions and conclude the agreements. Ensures compliance to standing orders of the Unit. Initiates disciplinary proceedings in case of any violations.
  10. Responsible for administration of township and maintenance of offices.
    • Ensures well maintained services and basic amenities in the township, office and the plant.

Internal:Heads of all Departments, CHR, BHR, Group Unit HR Heads, etc.

External:Professional Organizations, Management Institutions / Engineering colleges, District Administration, Industrial Units, Trade Unions, Leaderships Local Associations, etc.
