Job Description
Title of the Job:
Engineer L3 (Network & Security)
Profile of the position:
Expert on Routes, Switches, Firewall, Load Balancers, VPN, QoS, Wireless. Network Administrator leverage their expertise with Design, implement, maintain, and support of Network infrastructure, day-to-day system performance, troubleshoot network specific issues. Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, security configurations, Project management, DC-DR Drill Management, Infrastructure Management, Manpower Management, Vendor Management etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work on complex / escalated incidents, problems and changes within the Operational environment.
- Manage, lead and perform network and security changes in a multi-data center hybrid cloud operational environment, provide level 3 operational support and own achieving SLAs for agreed service metrics.
- Carry out Security Solutions Technical Consultancy and implementation in support of customer project work.
- Perform network maintenance and device upgrades.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companys security team
- Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Acknowledge the ticket in your queue
- Perform the RCA and work towards resolution.
- Escalate to next level for complaints if not solved at his or her Level within 1 hr.
- Update case notes with your findings and close the ticket.
- Abide by all terms of Letter of Undertaking and follow the same.
- Follow all admin as well as security rules and regulations of the Organization.
- Report Information security incidents and weaknesses to Operations manager and CISO
- Training L2/L1 as per need basis.
- Team Management should have capability to lead team in absence of TL.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Hands on experience including but not limited to:
- Expert on multi-vender devices e.g. Cisco, Juniper, HP, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint.
- Export on security concepts e.g. VPN, IPS/IDS, Web application firewall, etc.
- Administration of Firmware exposure to physical system environments.
- Analytical skills to accurately identify the root cause.
- Expert in Upgrades, Solution designing and implementation of various security products.
- Preparing HLD/LLD, Network design document, Technical overview etc.
- Experience of working with customers through direct interaction during support and change management activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective team player as well as ability to drive autonomously.
Desired Qualification
- Must be a CCNP/ CCIE.
- Basic Education must have a Bachelors degree or Under Graduate in any stream
- Good Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
- Knowledge on Server Monitoring & Management is preferred.
- Understanding of ticketing system is also preferred.
- Must be willing to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.
- Previous NOC experience will be a value add.
