Job Description
-
Monitor network and system security for threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.

Assist in implementation and maintenance of security tools (antivirus, firewall, endpoint security, SIEM, etc.).
-
Support in incident detection, analysis, and basic incident response.
-
Help in performing vulnerability assessment and basic penetration testing (under supervision).
-
Assist in creating and updating security documentation, policies, and reports.
-
Work with IT and development teams to ensure security best practices are followed.

Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls).
-
Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows / Linux basics).
-
Basic knowledge of cyber security concepts threats, vulnerabilities, malware, phishing, encryption, authentication, etc.

Familiarity with any of the following is an added advantage:

Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Antivirus, SIEM tools

Vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS)

Scripting basics (Python / PowerShell optional)
-

Good analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

B.E / B.Tech (CSE / IT / ECE)

Any cyber security certification / course (like CCNA Security, CEH, CompTIA Security+, etc.) will be an added advantage.
