Job Description
Manager / Sr. Manager, Record to Report
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and reviewing the work of team members, carrying out general accounting operations and executing transactions of assigned financial accounts. The duties include maintaining the general ledger, reviewing the work of the accountants, executing accurate and timely month-end close process and procedures in accordance with GAAP, reviewing the monthly consolidation process of foreign subsidiaries and perform General Ledger account analysis. The Senior manager possess a thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles and practices, Fixed Assets, Compensation & Payroll Accounting and ensure accurate, effective and efficient processes in accordance with established internal controls.
Responsibilities
Coach & mentor Assistant Manager /Management Trainee for them to lead their teams better
Ensure yearly goals are set, communicated and followed through to get desired result
Ensure the team is trained in all corporate/process and skill-based training.
Career path for the team members and maintain attrition at the lowest level as per corporate target
Establish & Lead client relationship through regular engagement with the client
Pro-actively identify the issues and take action
Analysis of AP /MJE postings based on the purchase orders & statement of work attached to it. Inclusive of investigating into nature of asset & ensuring to meet all policy conditions as per business
Account analysis of multiple entities / accounts / departments investigate to identify if that qualifies as fixed asset as per the business policy
Analysis of AP /MJE postings based on the invoices / purchase orders, if that qualifies for internally developed assets, technology assets or other category
Ensure the ledger is maintained in accordance with GAAP
Ensure all transactions are processed to support Management, Tax, and other stakeholder s requirements
Ensure all close procedures are performed accurately
Ensure compliance with the established internal control procedures
Ensure the accounting systems are performing as designed to meet responsibilities and controls maintained
Identify areas for improvement and/or control gaps
Document and maintain the controls database
Ensure and attest that all controls have been executed
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all reports delivered for all entities and at the consolidated level
Ensure prompt response to customer requests
Plan and drive projects under the direction of the Leadership
Create, maintain and report metrics of key performance drivers
Ensure application of existing Accounting Policies or request a policy or accounting memo in the treatment of new transactions
Ensure entries provided by stakeholders are reviewed, verified and have proper evidence/documentation
Find opportunities for automation, improvement and efficiency
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
Relevant Accounting Experience
B.Com, M.Com, MBA, CA, CPA
Thorough knowledge of Related Parties Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll & Benefits, Intangibles, Investments, Prepaid, Accruals, Allocations, Accounting for Leases, Month Close & Period End Accounting and Analysis, FX Accounting
Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in Advanced MS-excel knowledge
Excellent verbal communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach
Solid Understanding of ERP tools - preferably Workday
Preferred qualifications
Understanding of Visual Basics
