Job Description
Flatirons Solutions, Inc. is hiring Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation UFT for our Engineering Operations Organization in Chennai, India. Join us as we employ world-class software engineering practices to solve complex Content Lifecycle Management (CLM) problems in some of the most interesting problem spaces in the industry today. Our solutions are used in a wide range of functions within these organizations, and include technical engineering order management, documentation authoring and publishing, flight operations manuals, data archiving, and other workflow, documentation and maintenance products.
As an UFT Automation Engineer, you will:
- Consult with customers in the aviation and aerospace fleet and manufacturing industry
- Adopt and use Flatirons QA methodology and tools to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured automation test scripts
- Identify script failures and perform root cause analysis
- Perform script rework, maintenance and monitor scheduled runs
- Involve in setting up dedicated Automation Test environments
- Escalate issues to QA Lead and work closely with all stakeholders
- Report in daily Agile Scrum current progress in test plan, defects and any environmental issues
- Identify and track bugs/defects reported through test automation, investigate possible breaks/Design misses, work with Manual testing team to identify root cause of the issue
- Continual evaluation and understanding, of user focused testing and evaluation
- Use your passion for continuous improvement to help create quality best automation practices across the organization
- Explore new technologies to enhance Automation needs
- Work daily in Jira and TestRail based testing tools.
Wed like to talk to you if you have:
- Sets up and automates test development, testing on System, Integration, E2E and UAT environments for smoke and regression testing.
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on automation experience in UFT automation with Java/VBScript
- Experience in HP UFT scripting and UFT customization modules (written in Java).
- Experience in scripting API or service layer calls.
- Experience in API test Automation will be plus
- Experience in integrating automation scripts in CI & CD (DevOps) pipeline.
- Experience in various Agile and DevOps tools such as Jira, GitHub, Jenkins to work in Agile/DevOps Environment
- Experience in writing SQL queries
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, analytical, and time management skills
- Enjoy collaborating in a team environment to solve problems with creative, out-of-the-box thinking
