Job Description:
An established, growing web applications & publishing company is seeking a highly energetic, experienced full-stack Web Developer with exceptional PHP, MySQL, Jquery, Javascript, API and mobile app development skills - to work with us to build/customize our web services & web applications. This candidate will work with our core engineering team to design, develop and maintain highly scalable web services/application modules -that work in conjunction with our web portals, mobile applications, web sites or web services; to provide rich internet user experiences.
The work will include functional development and customization of existing PHP based web site code, WordPress plugins, android/IOS mobile applications as well as developing new functional modules from scratch - based on the provided business requirements or functional specifications.There will be occasional front-end web development work involving HTML/CSS/AJAX as well.In a nutshell - this is a core web and application development/programming job which not only requires solid
software development skills but also requires a demonstrated passion for working with open-source software and solving complex problems. This is a full-time in-house position based in Thane.
Responsibilities:
Work within PHP, MySQL, Jquery & JavaScript to build/customize web applications
Create new web portals using open-source content management systems like WordPress and customize them for the required functionality
Design/develop custom PHP/MySQL based web services or web components; Build Android/iPhone/Hybrid Apps for any required functionality or project
Configure/setup websites on hosting platforms like Namecheap, Siteground, and other similar cloud hosting providers
Migrate Websites from One Hosting Platform to Another Build/develop, customize & deploy PHP/MySQL based plugins for WordPress CMS
Design/develop custom PHP/MySQL based web services or web components - based on provided business requirements or functional specifications
Analyze existing 3rd party free/commercial PHP based WordPress plugins and customize it to enable integration with our WordPress based web sites, web portals or web services
Develop or customize plugins/modules for specific web functionality or form processing
Create new web portals using open-source content management systems like WordPress & Joomla, and customize them for required functionality
Review business requirements and research for available 3rd party software or solution providers - for implementation or integration with our existing web services/portals
Develop custom automation/reporting systems for data elements and cross-functional web services
Develop front-end functionality modules/components using Javascript, AJAX, HTML/CSS and JQuery
Requirements and Primary Skills:
B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related field of study
Min 2 years of experience in the core web development/web programming or full-stack web development
Solid command on (ability to hand-code) - PHP, MySQL, JQuery, Javascript, HTML, CSS, AJAX
Solid command on MySQL database, programming & optimization
Sound understanding of object-oriented and web programming standards
Proficiency using development IDE's and must possess strong debugging/problem solving skills
Must adhere to clean coding standards and develop code that is highly maintainable and scalable
Sound understanding of cross-browser design issues, CSS/web standards and workarounds
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills and a positive attitude
A self-starter with a proven ability to solve problems, work quickly, independently and with small teams - in a fast paced environment
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies
Experience working with advanced graphics editing software like Photoshop or GiMP
Knowledge/experience with Search Engine Optimization standards and procedures
