Job Description
We are looking for a reliable accounting manager to join our team! As an Accounting Manager, you will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information.
Accounting Manager duties and responsibilities
- Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy
- Oversee accounting daily operations
- Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, cash applications, collections, and payroll)
- Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, monthly, quarterly and annual cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation, bank reports, and various detailed analysis reports
- Monitor and analyse accounting data
- Set up and monitor accounting KPIs
- Regularly produce financial reports or statements
- Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Encourage other employees to adhere to standards
- Train new employees
- Perform and oversee annual audits
- Provide recommendations
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Maintain professional banking relationships
- Coordinate and direct the development and preparation of budgets, forecasts, and projections
- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
- Review payroll taxes and ensure timely payment of payroll and corporate taxes by payroll service
- Maintain files and comply with record retention Requirements
- Process payroll using a payroll service
- preparing year-end books for audit
- Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures and regulations for any necessary entities
- Process vendor payments and check requests
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Reconciling all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis as indicated by the monthly closing schedule.
Accounting Manager requirements and qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager
- Expert computer skills proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software preferably SAP B1and databases
- Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on companys success
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities with superior numeric skills
- Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication, verbal, and written skills
- Must be result and profit oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations and perform multifaceted projects
- Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-task
- Must be detail oriented
- Well organized with good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Organize tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
