We are seeking an experienced, motivated Associate Project Manager (APM) to join our Platform Application Services (PAS) team.
PAS is a rapidly growing team within The Company, supporting external and internal clients in developing and deploying technology- based platforms and applications.
The APM will be involved in managing both internal/ client software development projects or product development based on the fitment.
This will entail planning, tracking and managing the end to end delivery cycle for software product releases.
The APM will ensure that the software product released meets the documented requirements, is delivered on time, on budget and with the necessary quality standards as defined in the project plan.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Ensure that all projects are delivered on- time, within scope and within budget
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Successfully manage the relationship with the client / stakeholders and vendors.
Coordinate resources and third parties/ vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Works collaboratively and professionally with other associates in cross functional teams to achieve goals
Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion
Skills
Must have good understanding of application development life cycle in Agile or iterative methodology. Must be working in a techno- managerial role currently (If in Agile, then must be working as a Scrum Master)
Must have delivered several different types of project of varying complexities and sizes.
Must have demonstrated the ability to communicate technology concepts to non- technology personnel
Must have effectively interfaced with customers for business discussions and have a desire to delight customers
Must be directly managing a team of 5- 10 people.
Ability to calculate effort estimates and create project plans efficiently
Ability to maintain quality levels while multitasking and working under timeline pressure.
Must have minimum of 10 years experience in project management in the information technology sector
Must have minimum of 4 years experience in leading teams
Must have excellent technical background with hands- on experience in software development and web technologies
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have experience on interacting with clients.
Must have experience in agile methodology approach.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi- tasking skills
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent
MBA from a reputable university (preferred, but not necessary)
Certifications such as PMP or Prince2 or ScrumMaster(preferred, but not necessary)
