PayPal's consumer wallet team is looking for a senior Android Lead in Bangalore to work on our next generation wallet experience capabilities stack We re looking for strong mobile skills and solid real-world experience. You will need to be able to architect & build solutions to problems with little guidance from others. As a Senior Android Development Engineer, you will work closely with Product Managers and your counterparts in other engineering disciplines to deliver scalable and extensible services that drive the user experience across a diverse range of new and existing global products. We want candidates with a vision for how to empower developers. You should be familiar with the latest tools & practices popular in the community. We hope you re passionate about these tools and can help us make decisions about which ones will work best for PayPal.
The candidate should have great communication skills and ideally past experience working with a distributed team. People will look up to you on this team, so experience mentoring and teaching would be helpful.

Responsibilities:
- Leading the build and development of new user-facing experiences.
- Partner closely with cross-functional partners in design and product.
- Drive discussion and provide feedback on code and architecture.
- Perform code reviews to drive teams to the highest standards.
- Partner closely with design and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.
- Work with tooling and platform teams to provide innovation and solutions for analytics, experimentation and quality.
- Deliver code in an Agile team environment.
- Follow and be a strong advocate for clean code principles.
- Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years of work experience in developing native Android applications.
- Strong experience working with common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Kotlin.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience mentoring and developing software engineers.
- Good understanding of the latest methodologies like Kotilin, Flow, jetpack navigation, dependency injection.
