In this role, you will be encouraged to work on strict deadlines, in a fairly high pressure business environment while being a good teammate. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and understanding of end to end General Ledger Royalty Accounting (R2R). You will be responsible for all the activities related to General Ledger department, closing of books of accounts accurately and timely to ensure the true and fair presentation of the financial statement. This function is responsible for Royalty Accounting reporting to Licensors, booking royalty expense accruals, recoupment of royalty advances and ensure timely posting of journal entries. It also reviews and analyzes various financial reports and publishes the commentary for management team.
Responsibilities- Prepare Journals at the end of the month after analysis of prepaid & accruals account etc.
- Prepare/Review monthly close calendar and discuss status of activities with country controller every day in close
- Month/Quarterly end close and assessment cycles run
- Prepare/Review Royalty Statements and identify open items and track closure with country controller
- Prepare/Review Royalty reporting schedules and ensuring timely payments to Licensors.
- Execute internal controls and checks as part of the process
- Performing task with accuracy and timelines
- Track Royalty Intercompany Invoicing status and do necessary follow-up with relevant teams to get variances resolved before month end.
- Daily KPI/CPI performance tacking and proactively identifying and planning any variance in daily deliverables.
Minimum qualifications
Commerce Graduate / CA Inter
SAP knowledge and experience in generating reports from SAP is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills- Proven experience in Royalty Accounting along with R2R
- MS Office skills, specially MS Outlook and Excel
- Good verbal and written communication
- Excellent Accounting Knowledge
- Technology skills Oracle/SAP experience preferred
- Team handling skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in MS excel
