Job Description
Senior Manager/AGM - Cyber Security ( two positions)
Exp: 12- 20yrs
Location: Bangalore
- Act as Subject Matter Expert, serving as a consultant and advisor for cybersecurity projects and topics. Provide guidance, coaching and expertise to help the team develop the required skills to execute SDL practices such as threat modeling, secure coding standards, static code analysis, and security code reviews.
- Ensure product development teams abide with risk-driven cyber security processes and controls
- Participate in the security incident response processes
- Drive corporate initiatives to enhance organizational and product security capabilities. This includes country and state specific cyber-regulations
- Communicate with management on risk management concepts, provide risk mitigation options / scenarios
- Audit SDL projects, produce gap assessment reports, document lessons learned
- Ensure all Security Plans and Final CyberSecurity Reviews (FCSR) are approved by the BU product security officer
- Conduct training to build cybersecurity competency in the R&D communities
- Track organizational maturity using BSIMM based metrics, track other SDL-related goals
- Create and participate in program to audit the quality processes of external suppliers
Key skills and requirements
- Relevant experience with product development processes, including Agile, Lean, SAFe methodologies
- Broad knowledge of product / system security and regulatory requirements
- Ability to align operational/information security policies with business requirements
- Attention to detail, ability to translate operational/information security requirements into security controls
- Experience driving corporate programs using influencing skills
- Ability to effectively adapt to and apply rapidly changing technology to business needs
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of process control or IT security experience with a proven ability to engage with management and product development teams.
- 5+ years of experience with Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices
- Bachelors degree in IT/Computing/Engineering field
- Experience working with development teams to review designs, develop threat models, and ensure secure coding practices are followed
- Demonstrated ability to develop threat models, analyze threats, and rate threat severity
- Knowledge of static code analysis tools, secure coding standards, fuzz and penetration testing, and final security reviews
- Knowledge of security risks to web applications, mobile, web services, and cloud applications
- Fluency in English
- Experience working in an international environment
- Knowledge of privacy standards and regulations a plus
- Experience guiding and assisting organizations in implementing security product development practices
- Self-starter and team player; ability to work independently and drive initiatives
- Strong writing and communication skills, including the ability to render concise reports, summaries, and presentations
Preferred:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- CISSP or CSSLP certification
- Project management skills
