We currently hiring fresh Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Mechanical Engineering graduates (with computer science), to fill vacancies for freshers induction program.
The role includes all technical challenges associated with analyzing, maintaining, designing & developing or testing of software to meet business and internal stakeholder needs of Herman Miller. The role will be based out of our Bangalore office in India.
This role transcends departmental and geographical boundaries as it aims at supporting and enabling the various divisions of the Herman Miller business across the globe.
Academics
First class graduate in Computer engineering / Computer science / Mechanical Engineering of 2019/2020 pass outs with CGPA 7.5 and above .
Technical
- Should have had some form of formal education in one or more computer skills along with strong OOPS fundamentals
- Courses / Training on latest programming technologies will be a plus
- Any internship experience in software development will be an advantage
Personality
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills with clarity of thought in articulation
- Passion to develop technology solutions (can be demonstrated through project work done in academics)
- Analytical thought process and willingness to discuss and debate on matters where they may have a difference of opinion
- Willing to learn new technologies and apply those on the job
- Willingness to work in the UK shift from 12 PM to 9 PM
- Ability to work individually or within a team environment
- Ability to participate in multiple projects & tasks and priorities in a healthy work environment
- Has attention to detail and a penchant for quality
- Very good understanding of Object-Oriented analysis and design
- Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines
- Adhere to process and procedures defined for the role, the team and the organization
Process
The chosen candidates will be assigned to various teams, projects, processes from time to time over a period of 6-8 months to learn and apply their skills on tasks that will demonstrate their strength areas. Once an individuals potential has been clearly established, he/she may be assigned to a live project team as a permanent member.
Hiring process will consist of written / computer-based test and at least 2 rounds of personal interview.
