Job Advertisement for the post of Senior Project CoordinatorPosition title: Senior Project Coordinator
Organisation: TB Alert India
Location: Hyderabad TB Alert India (TBAI) is a not for profit organization working with a vision to make India free from TB. It has a strong presence in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi, head quartered in Hyderabad. All projects of TBAI aim at supplementing the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP), mobilizing, and linking local communities in fighting against TB. TB Alert India is seeking applications for the post of Senior Project Coordinator from the suitable candidates for a project which aimed to scale up access to UDST (Universal Drug Susceptibility Testing) to all the presumptive TB (Tuberculosis) patients and build stronger linkages from selected/prioritized high load DMCs (Designated Microscopic Centres) to districts level NAATs ( Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests) and then develop linkages to centrally placed IRL ( Intermediate Reference Lab), to address drop outs and optimize treatment.
Roles and Responsibilities of Senior Project Coordinator: The following are the roles and responsibilities but not limited to;
- Overall lead and responsible for planning, execution, and review and reporting of project activities and outcomes.
- Recruit and train the field staff and provide them ongoing day to day support and guidance.
- Guide the field force with the patient line list of first and second samples and follow-up samples for testing, and cross check and tally the samples collected for testing.
- Review and bifurcate the district wise data and triangulate districts data with IRL data and verity the discrepancies accordingly.
- Coordinate with NTEP officials and concerned officers at NAATs and IRL facilities, and ensures that the results are communicate to District NTEP staff for treatment initiation for new cases and treatment modification for follow-up cases accordingly.
- Facilitate and support field staff and guide them in re-routing field work plans as per the sample load of individual NAATs and prioritized DMCs.
- Conduct regular meetings with team on going activities and trouble shoot and provide solutions and guidance.
- Maintain a robust data flow and capturing system and ensure proper data recording.
- Review and consolidate monthly reports and ensure timely submission of reports to NTEP officials and relevant stakeholders including donor.
Qualification, Skills & Competencies required for the position:
- Postgraduate, preferably in Microbiology/ Science/ Social sciences, with 6-7 years of project management and MIS experience, preferably with NTEP stakeholders will be considered.
- Working experience in public health, preferably in TB programs and knowledge on TB and other co-morbid conditions like HIV and diabetics is desirable.
- Ability to guide and mentor team members and provide regular technical support through field visits, trainings and through monthly review and planning meetings.
- Understanding on program planning, review and strategy development is essential.
- Excellent understanding on local context, practices and ability to liaise with various health institutions in the state and districts.
- Willingness, flexible and ability to work in a challenging environment and willingness to travel more frequently as needed.
- Ability to anticipate the challenges/issues and initiate appropriate actions.
- Should understand and speak fluently in local language (Telugu)
- Excellent speaking, writing and documentation skills in English
