Manzil (Achieving Aspirations)
Empowering Adolescent Girls with Financial Opportunity to End Child Marriage
MANZIL a 4-year project that aims to increase retention of girls in school (12 years of schooling) and the rate of girls transitioning from school and skills training to work. The project will adopt a focused and market-driven approach for vocational training and skill development of in- school and out of school adolescent girls in the age group of 15-18 years. The project will work with the Government of Rajasthan across 7 districts.
The Manzil project funded by The Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is focused on the adolescent girls (in school and out of school) of districts of Rajasthan (Jaipur, Tonk, Bhilwara) to ensure that their aspiration is aligned with the trade they select for skill development, with an understanding of the ongoing labour market trend and behavior.
Avalon, as the technology partner, will play multiple roles in the Manzil project.
Job Title: Field Coordinator (Fixed term)
Number of Positions 3
Location: Three of following districts (Jaipur, Tonk, Bhilwara)
Reports To: State Manager / Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced district-level coordinator for on the site coordination on a Skills Development Project in districts of Rajasthan for a fixed term employment. The field Coordinator will be required/may required to manage at least 2 districts
Major Key Responsibilities: The major role of the Field Coordinator is to ensure smooth project implementation/ data collection/coordination/representation in the project districts while being on the site as Avalon's focal person of the project districts in Rajasthan.
- Map, inspect and enroll the potential private and semi-private companies / organizations in and around the target districts (Jaipur, Tonk, Bhilwara) on Manzil digital platform for employment to girls
- Work closely with the companies / Government departments, internal team/s, Project partners, and other stakeholders like community motivators, vocational teachers etc. as required
- Coordinate with the State Manager / Coordinator / Project manager, team and manage digital project management tool/s and proper implementation of the project as desired and achieve programme goals
- Building cordial and healthy relations at field level with prospective companies / enrolled companies/organizations and regular follow-ups
- Build the capacity of team, community motivators, vocational trainers and other stakeholder on project App. and other tools developed
- Regular field testing and provide feedback on APP
- Daily meeting with the program and software development team to ensure that the activities and tasks are being properly managed and timely delivered
- Ensure that all project personnel and stakeholders receive an appropriate training and orientation to the project
- Develop project reports on set frequencies and present.
- Coordinate with on-site and off-site stakeholders
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standard
- Execute the district field action plan
- Develop forms and records to document project activities
- Set up filing systems to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for this Role:
- Graduate / MBA
- Min. 2-3 years of experience with public / development sector at district / state level
- Experience on survey and data collections APPs and platforms
- Preferably working experience on Skill Development / Education / Health / Livelihood projects or programs
- Exposure and experience in implementation of IT solutions at district / state / national level
- Good communication skills
