Job Description
Public relations account managers oversee the creation of materials that elevate a company or clients brand and image. These materials can range from press releases to social media campaigns to advertising. The public relations account manager might also handle a companys communications and serve as a spokesperson to the media. Additional public relations account manager responsibilities might include:
Maintaining positive relationships with the media and providing them with press releases, information and interviews with company representatives
Creating and managing promotional and advertising campaigns, both online and in print
Tracking data and metrics from social media posts, newsletters, advertisements and brand promotions
Developing and refining the company or clients branding, voice and logos
Overseeing a team of marketing or media staff
Raising funds if they work for a nonprofit and organizing or attending events
Controlling crises and misinformation
