Job Description
As a Performance Engineer the key purpose is to provide subject matter expertise services for the Performance Engineering discipline.
Mandatory hands-on skills (not just a class room training experience please)
- Strong Experience of Performance Engineering/Testing and tuning web based enterprise applications Exp 8 yrs+
- Excellent knowledge on Performance concepts & load/Soak/Scalability/Stress etc testing
- Experience of API level performance testing as part of shift left and UI Performance testing to improve faster load of pages.
- Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools (such as JMeter, LoadRunner/Performance Center), and APM tools (such as AppDynamics, dynaTrace, New Relic, Splunk)
- Mandatory strong scripting experience on Web & True Client protocols
- Experience of working in an agile environment, "DevOps" team or a similar multi skilled team in a technically demanding function
- Exposure in Performance tests on Mobile devices & Performance test automation with Jenkins CI/CD pipeline is needed
- Experience in diagnosing performance issues & bottlenecks needed
- R&D experience of industry performance engineering practices and tooling desirable
- Experience planning, estimating, designing, executing and analysing performance tests. Should be able to understand overall performance test strategy and follow best practices and standards set in the team.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills . Quick Learner.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
Good to have
- Experience of performance testing and tuning micro-services / APIs running on Cloud based PaaS platforms, either on premise or within a managed service (eg. AWS)
- Experience of Pivotal Cloud Foundry PaaS platform and/or MuleSoft framework,
