Role Summary
Seeking a Sr. Manager Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning who can help us measure the in progress and impact measurement of programs. Candidate will be responsible for implementation and adjustment of our qualitative and quantitative M&E efforts, ensuring accuracy and timelines of data collection, entry and analysis.
This position will work closely with our program implementation departments. This person will be based in New Delhi and work under the supervision of the Director India Programs and will work in coordination with Program Impact Managed based in International location
Roles and Responsibilities
Evidence Based Reporting:
The M & E Manager should be adept at comprehending with clarity the processes and developments of a program. They should be able to generate quality documentation to appropriately knit learnings and insights in the narrative of a report, draft case studies or stories.
Keep herself / himself abreast with the available sources of impact in a program
Keep track of the quantitative impact data, case studies
Development of M & E System, Tools and Analysis:
Develop project specific metrics, M&E systems and tools in consultation with program teams and Program Impact Manager to be aligned with organizational goals
Develop incisive evaluation tools, including but not limited to: pre/post test, feedback forms, periodic assessment tools, long term impact tools, which are in sync with the program impact indicators.
Ensure all data collection accuracy, quality of entry, analysis compliant with protocols, and timely reporting of results and escalation of matters to the Program Leads for necessary action and learning
Objectively analyze in-country data to create descriptive statistics for reporting
Support the program teams with presentation of impact data analysis at the time of annual, quarterly program reviews
Team Management & Empowerment
Responsible to mentor and groom the Documentation Coordinators in respective programs. Conduct refreshers with them from time to time.
Responsible for onboarding of new team members on M&E and ensure that respective program teams have clarity and understand their programs M&E framework well.
Strengthening the M&E Systems at Organization Level (All programs & Initiatives): 30%
Contribute in strengthening the M&E systems with big focus on evaluation strategies at organization level
Get creative and keep up to date with innovative trends in evaluation methodologies to adapt to program needs and showcase impact. Continuously improve M&E systems and tools to adapt to the dynamic nature of a projects work.
Work closely with Program Impact Manager to develop training materials on M&E and evaluate learning post those trainings,
Work in close coordination with the program, development, marketing, and advocacy teams and assist in preparation of program summaries, briefing papers, policy documents, and data for funding proposals
Assist in the documentation of methodology, protocol and M&E standards
Coordinate data collection projects with government and other partners
Assist relevant staff in troubleshooting programs and processes using M&E tools and data
Review current literature and engage with other agencies and stakeholders to identify data gaps and programmatic needs
Desired Candidate Profile
Proven interest in data management and analytics
Ability to interpret and analyse a range of data (qualitative and quantitative) to develop programmatic information.
Excellent documentation and computer skills for data management, analysis and presentation
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Training or capacity building experience
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Preferably has exposure to some of the technology platforms for data management
Ability to collaborate with a diverse team in a multidisciplinary and multicultural setting, with an ability to work independently when needed
Eager to brainstorm improvements for processes and programs
Exceptional critical thinking skills
Ability to receive and offer constructive feedback and criticism
Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic, entrepreneurial environment
Capable to think innovatively and creatively to accomplish objectives
Strategic, decisive and action oriented
Willing to travel extensively (minimum 40% time per month) in rural India
