In this React Native Developer role, you will be building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.
You will be responsible for:
- Building pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
- Leveraging native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
- Diagnosing and fixing bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
- Reaching out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes (React Native moves fast and often breaks things)
- Maintaining code and writing automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
- Transitioning existing React web apps to React Native.
The Profile
- You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- You have at least 1 year experience within a Software Engineer role.
- You are familiar with Android OS and IOS OS operating systems.
- You have a firm grasp of the JavaScript and TypeScript/ClojureScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
- You possess knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming
- You have the ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
- You are rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
- You are familiar with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, IntelliJ
- You have a strong understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
- Having experience in Redux and knowledge on Angular will be an added advantage
- You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
- You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
