Job Description
We have an urgent requirement for Sr. Engineer / Engineer in New Product Development for wiring harness product US based MNC in Bangalore.
Designation: NPD Sr. Engineer / Engineer
Educational Qualification: BE (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical)
Experience : 4+ years of experience in New Product Development & Project Management until mass production in Wiring harness industry
Location: Bangalore
Position: - Engineer/Sr. Engineer - Projects / New Product Development
The Candidate will be primarily responsible for Wiring harness & Cable Assembly NPD and the position reports to Manager - Projects.
He should have sufficient experience in wiring harness new product development activities (includes costing, BOM creation, prototype making, design validation and project execution. Experience and knowledge in cost saving / Value Engineering (VA/VE) analysis, and experience in creating product Specification, DFMEA, PFMEA & Process flow charts, PPAP, engineering change management are also required. He should have adequate exposure to various wiring harness manufacturing processes (including crimping, crimp validation, wire charts etc). He should possess adequate knowledge in preparation, monitor, update & maintain all engineering documentation. This position will have to manage effective customer interactions for new product development. Experience in prototype, Pilot lot, Order management also required.
BE Tech (Mech/Electronics/Electrical) with aminimum of 4+ years of experience in New Product Development & Project Management until mass production in Wiring harness industry.
Exposure to various wiring harness manufacturing processes (including crimping, crimp validation, wire charts etc) is a must. Hands on experience in NPD of wiring harness (including selection of connectors, terminals, wires, cost estimations etc). Candidate with Wiring harness industry experience is a must. Understanding on 6 sigma, and Lean manufacturing will be an added advantage.
