Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, talented QA Engineer to join our team in Delhi, India. The ideal candidate will help in making quality-centric mobile applications and with automated tools (if require). They are able to understand software internals. QA Engineers will work with Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation also work with groups such as Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests. They will be also responsible for driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Good in software quality and testing methodologies
- Knowledge of mobile software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle.
- Responsible for development of test strategies, plan and test cases to assess product quality
- Perform focused creative testing based on assigned test cases to provide feedback on the issues related to mobile user experience and identify application defects.
- Independently identify and report bugs in bug tracking databases
- Report application defects, including complete steps, identification of root cause and expected results into appropriate bug tracking software.
- Regress previously identified issues in order to verify defects have been addressed and are no longer occurring.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
- Detect, research and document software defects in a bug tracking system. Confirm fixes, review product documentations and report any error as required.
- Perform ad-hoc testing procedures to find bugs and application issues.
- Generating bugs reports, clearly describing how the bugs can be reproduced.
Preferred Qualifications
- Jira bug tracking solution knowledge strongly preferred
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Ability to identify key bugs or issues and record them diligently
- Ability to offer feedback to make improvements to the products
- Good problem solving and Strong team-work ability
- Flexibility, Adaptability and Patience
- Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 3 years of experience in mobile application testing or development role is plus
- Experience testing Xamarin applications is a plus
- Experience testing UWP desktop applications is a plus
- Experience testing Bluetooth in mobile applications is a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to prioritize workload and deadlines
